Looks great, Not for skating.

My son ordered these because he had worn out his last pair of vans. When he got them, He was satisfied with the overall appearance, and they looked great. However, after 2 weeks of continuous skating, they were ruined. My son is usually very rough on his shoes, but these just didn't last at all. Within the first day, the stitching broke, on the shoe started coming apart. Within a week, he had replaced his left shoe lace twice. Within two weeks the sole was done, and he had to duct tape it together so it would hold up. After that it was just done, they were unusable. So overall, he would recommend these shoes purely for cosmetic wear, just not for skating.

Pros: looks great, good board feel, comfortable

Cons: poor ankle support, sole loses grip, soles wear out, poor cushioning, laces break easily, non-durable

This shoe is really comfortable, vans has done a really good job with comfortability because every pair ive skated with doesnt hurt my foot. They run true to size but once you break them in they tend to get a bit loose on your foot, other than that if you want the shoe I recommend it.

Pros: looks great, good board feel, stylish, comfortable, good grip

Cons: soles wear out, does not break in quickly

I liked the vans era pros much more than the original eras. The suede lasts longer and the sole feels stronger. I would buy them again.

I love era pros because they are comfortable and they skate really well. I like the shape of the shoe because it feels more direct and makes the tricks easier

I always like the look of the vans era's, but never brought them because they would only last a day, so stoked when they first started producing these and have brought atleast 6 pairs since.
very durable, very stylish, and has supreme grip and board feel.
i strongly recommend the shoes that specify having the Vans 'Durra Suede', I have found those to be the most durrable and longer lasting
If you like the vans era's but want something a lot more stronger, i suggest these, even if you never have skated a low cut thin shoe because you are sceptical about how it will hold up, I definitely recommend trying these!

I just got these shoes and it feels like they are broken in and i love vans these are the best i have had the chukka low the tnt 5 and other ones but these are the best yet. They are sick in the grey color and light weight great for long boarding and look great. out of 10 stars i would give it a 11 they are better than what i actually expected you have to get these they are awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These shoes are really good for flatground. When i skated drops my feet started to hurt. But still a good all around shoe. The grip is amazing! And would recommend getting leather or suede.

At first i didn't like these shoe , if you want me to be honest but i started skateboarding next thing you knew i got some skated in them & OMG ! they made comfortable & stylish I got mad Compliments on these shoes

These shoes were amazing they broke in super fast and they were very durable. The dura cap was definitely my favorite feature. Super durable just an amazing shoe defiantly would buy again.

These shoes are great for chilling in or walking around in but terrible for skating. There is no heel cap on the shoe so the shoes just slip off too easy no matter how tight you tie them. Every time I push or do a trick I feel my heel coming out of my shoe.

If you love the era but want a little more padding this is the shoe for you. I personally love skating the era but felt these had a little too much cush to them for my liking and just felt marshmellowie.

this shoe is really good. they last pretty well. very lightweight and durable. the duracap technology is very useful if you liked skating the eras. they are just like the eras but with a little more padding and durability. i have the vans/spitfire collaboration shoe. i skate everyday. these shoes are pretty much casual skate shoes. dont go down huge stairs! these shoes are like the ultimate flatground shoe. i do about 5 to 10 kickflips a day. i do about 3 tre flips a day. 8 nollie flips. 360 flip down a small set of stairs. thats about my average skate day... of course with ollies and 180s. the only problem with these shoes are if your a heelflip kinda guy... these will rip. i put some ductape on mine before a hole actually formed though. i love to do varial heelflips or heelflip shuvits all day! i do at least 8 down some stairs. but overall good shoe for how cheap it is compared to other shoes.

These used to be my favorite Vans shoes before I became Vegan and no longer wore Suede.
Great board control and grip.
Not alot of padding, but that comes with the "great board control" thing.
Less padding = More feeling the board underneath your feet.
More Padding = More Comfy, but less feeling the board below you.

This particular vans skate shoe " the vans era pro ", is amazing. it is insanely comfortable and truly a fit to size shoe. the shoe is both skate worthy and style worthy. the only draw back is that it is a little more heavier than most shoes, but other than that the shoe is outstanding. iit was becoming my daily wear'ed shoe.

These shoes were alright. I mean once you brake them in about after a week, then you start skating them for about two weeks, they're pretty good. Cons on this shoe is the grip. The grip is pretty bad. My foot would usually slip off cause' the sole isn't very grippy. The mid-sole is alright on the grip. I could sometimes kickflip in these shoes. I mean my other flips, like Tre's, Bigflips, etc. were good in these. Other than the grip, everything else was pretty good. One more thing, they're a lot more durable than they look, but I shoe goo'd my stitching in the middle part under the Vans tag.

Pros: good board feel, doesn't rip, durable, laces don't break

Cons: sole loses grip, poor grip

I have the spitfire edition of the era pros. These shoes are probably the best skate shoes i've had. The vulc lasts about a month, if you skate them. Nice board feel and the collar suppots your ankle.
