Vans Old Skool - Men's
The iconic Vans side stripe was introduced to the world in 1977 on the Vans Old Skool. Today’s skaters know the side stripe puts the Old Skool on par with some of the most durable and revered skate shoes ever built. Staying true to its roots after all these years, the Old Skool continues to drop fresh color updates. The Vans Old Skool is still going strong. Other features include a vulcanized rubber outsole, Vans' waffle grip sole and a combination of suede/canvas upper.

I've had these for less than a week, and they're literally falling apart after longboarding three times. I don't know if Vans is skimping on the glue or what, but the sole is separating from the side already. I had these shoes as a kid, and they used to take a beating. Now they're only useful if you want to look cool around town.
Pros: runs true to size

This shoe is one of the best skate shoes i have ever bought.
The flick is amazing. The grip on the bottom is great. The whole shoe is great. This shoe would look good with anybody. It's a really cheap skate shoe.

Had this shoe for 6 months and it was amazing! I wore it for both skating and casual, they lasted me pretty long for 6 months. In the end my soles wore out but it still was a amazing shoe!!!
Pros: stylish, board feel, suede last forever, durable

durable gets dirty too fast and it lots of board but i recommend dc coles over these.
Pros: cool colors, stylish, durable, comfortable
Cons: gets dirty fast, creases easily, hard to clean, does not break in quickly

This shoe isn't durable after a week there is a massive hole on the ollie area of the shoe. It's also uncomfortable and irritates your heel. The only good things about this shoe is that it breaks in easily and it looks good. So I don't recommend this shoe for skating.
Pros: breaks in easy, stylish
Cons: uncomfortable, non-durable, rips easy, poor ankle support

These are really comfortable. They look great. Got that old 90's feel to them which I really like.

Great board feel and control, great grip!
Looks great.
Toecaps stitching does tear easy w/ alot of flip trickery.
Similar feel to the Vans Era shoes, but with bit more flexibility.

i got them about a month ago and i skated in them a few times and i just couldn't get a good feel for them they blistered the back of my foot and weren't durable

its not very good at all the laces rip super easy... this was my first skate shoe while skating got them about % mothns ago.... i couldnt even ollie and this shoe couldnt even with stand that its really just junk ... if you are just starting out then it will work but if you intermideit not the shoe for you it looks great and has good board feel but falls apart easily.. :/

these are probably one of the best shoes i've ever skated, although they only lasted me 2 skates before they ripped through to my socks and down to my feet. The grip is sick, they look pretty fresh, they just don't have the durability for a company claiming to be the no. 1 skate shoe. I bought a pair last year and they lasted a normal length most shoes do, but the last pair i bought ripped straight away. I was pretty bummed. but while they lasted they were sick. if you only skate every now and then, these are great to wear around and cruise in. One up side is they still look pretty rad all torn up.
Pros: great grip, laces don't break, look great, break in instantly
Cons: not durable, rip very quickly

This shoe isn't the best, but it's good for lifestyle. Another thing is that i got the colorway with the red inside of the shoe, and it bleeds through your sock.

this is definently my favorite skate shoe of all time. it looks cool and is a classic skate shoe that every skater needs. it does rip but what shoe doesnt? only bad thing is the shoe pad. i thought it was thin and stiff, but thats no biggie. its also real thin, but i love thin shoes.

In my experience, these shoes are pretty sick! They're comfortable and definitely stylish, they're old school!
As for skating, from what I've dealt with, these shoes are fairly good. However, for me, the typical ollie area on the side of the shoe tore pretty fast for me. But I guess I could just ollie more than other skaters. I dunno. Well overall, I think they're pretty cool. If you skate lightly, pick up a pair of these. If you skate a lot, then I wouldn't really recommend these shoes because of the canvas, but they're sick!

These shoes are pretty dang comfortable. I would highly reccomend these shoes for getting to know your roots of skateboarding shoes. Vans are hands down classic skateboard shoes that every skater has rocked atleat once or twice. These shoes are pretty comfortable and can take a beating, but arent the most durable shoe out there. I would say they lasted me about 2 months of non stop 3-6 hours of daily skating. They are pretty stylish, and feel fantastic with some pretty decent grip. These are a must have for just about any skater who needs to learn more about one of the original skate shoes.
Pros: stylish, durable, comfortable, shoe laces dont rip fast.

I bought a pair of All white old skools a while back. Turns out that the leather stripe and the suede are different tones of white. I didn't mind until my shoes started getting dirty. Then the colors started to get more noticeable. I tried washing them, but for some reason the gap between the rubber and the suede started turning into a yellowish color. Never ever get the all white old skools.
As for comfort, I found them somewhat comfortable at first, but then the backing leather piece started to hurt the back of my foot. The shoe wasn't even too small, in fact, it was a little bigger than expected. I wouldn't really recommend this shoe, but if you really want them, don't get the whites.
Pros: durable
Cons: uncomfortable, not very stylish

I have had four pairs of old skools, two I loved and are some of my favorite shoes ever, and two i gave to friends. It is that darned vans collar, for some reason either that leather rubs on your ankle or it doesn't. It will kill your feet for weeks, socks or no socks and makes the shoe unwearable. its hard to tell if you are gonna get a good pair usually both are good or both are wack. i get lucky with wierd colors, like the yellow and blue, or the tan canvas. I love the shoe, i stick a lil insole in there, the throway insole of sole tech shoes works great, the sti 2 one haha and it gives it way more support. the sole is grippy and perfect. the toe caps and canvas dies super fast but they are cheap and exactly what you want if you like the pointy and thin shape for a shoe. for some people these are ringers, others cant get used to that flick off the toe, vans and vulc shoes are wierd if you have only skated old style shoes. try em. Id recommend a few pairs, cuz you will have a few that just dont fit right. thats vans, sucks but its raw.
